One of their greatest achievements is the production of the Cartier Santos, a horological icon, extremely distinctive on the wrist due to its ‘screw’ accented design. This piece is particularly special thanks to its original ghost dial, a design that has recently been reintroduced at Watches & Wonders 2026. Unlike the traditional white Roman numeral dial, the ghost dial offers a more elusive, light-shifting aesthetic. As an original execution that predates its recent reintroduction, it is notably more desirable and sought after among collectors. As for the condition, it is overall very good per the photographs, especially considering these vintage models are now around 40 years old. I have checked the timekeeping over 24 hours, and it is excellent, the battery has just been replaced. The watch comes with a 6 month mechanical warranty on the movement. The bracelet has some gentle play which is common with these friction fit Santos bracelets, only mentioned for complete transparency and it has been priced considering this. We have decided to leave this piece unpolished to maintain the integrity of the original design.
