This is the last model year for this car, so they really don’t make them like this anymore. With proper maintenance these run forever (if you have decent sized parts budget).
Deferred maintenance/ current issues:
Passenger CV joint
USB in centre console is broken
Dog damage in interior, but a detail should fix carpeting. Scratches in leather on door, rip on passenger seat.
Differential wine at 45mph-70mph. Will fail at some point but these are drivable FWD.
Burns oil at 1gt/800mi, does require topping up between changes.
Notable previous issues:
Engine hydrolocked with oil within a month of buying it from DLR Nordic (167,XXXmi). Rebuilt engine to diagnose (Accurate Auto Tigard, OR).
Engine was rebuilt again at ~190,000mi. Repair shop failed to fasten an alternator bolt, which caused the serpentine belt to dislodge. The shop rebuilt the engine again to repair this, and added new valve stems. These Volvos burn oil, but ion this case the new valve stems added more life to the car but these will fail at some point requiring a new engine.
Beyond this, there have been the normal wear and tear replacements at this mileage. CV joints were done as needed. Previous owner replaced the shocks/struts. Oil Pan, Alternator, etc. Serviced every 3,000mi. Very conservative off-road/forest roads. New tires at 190,000 (Nokien Ones).
