Many electrolytic capacitors sound impressive at first but eventually reveal a hard or clinical character.
The Philips BC136 is different.
It offers:

Although many audio circuits operate at relatively low voltages, using a 100V capacitor provides several important benefits:
In my experience, higher-voltage capacitors often sound more relaxed and natural when used well below their rated voltage.
A common misconception in audio is that larger capacitance automatically produces better sound.

For many DAC and preamp applications, a carefully selected capacitor with moderate capacitance often produces superior sonic results.
