Here is a beautiful, high quality sterling silver spoon from Buffalo New York dating back to years around 1900 featuring on the front of the handle very detailed images, starting on the top: New York shield or coat of arms with banner reading EXCELCIOR, below golden rod plant, then writing NEW YORK down the wavy handle. In the bowl it has painted colorful and detailed image of buffalo head, the writing is BUFFALO.  It is in excellent condition, measures 5-5/8” long (142 mm), feels solid, weighs 23.5 grams.  It is marked STERLING and S in circle for Shepard Mfg.
