Here I have for sale a rare Triumph Adler 286 IBM compatible PC. This appears to be a clone of the Olivetti PCS 286, down to the proprietary BIOS and all board components.
Even though it boots and functions, I am selling as "for parts or not working" due to some obstacles to get it fully up and running. Firstly, the Dallas RTC soldered to the board is dead and requires replacement. On the plus side, using this type of Dallas RTC over other types of batteries that were common at the time mean it has not leaked and damaged the board like so many of the era.
Secondly, the proprietary BIOS on this board limits you to just two specific Conner 20MB and 40MB HDD models that can be used. This can be bypassed by using XTIDE in some form, including on a bootable floppy or network card ROM which will allow you to use a much wider range of hard drives.
Specs:
CPU: AMD 80286
RAM: 1MB SIMM (2x 512KB)
GPU: Western Digital WD90C00-J
NO HDD
