ISSUE # 98 - FEBRUARY 1991
"THE BEGINNING OF THE END: PART 1"
For sale here is one of the most important comic books of the last 50 years.
Released on December 11, 1990 with a February 1991 cover date, and featuring a cover by Rob Liefeld, "The Beginning of the End: Part 1" was a breakthrough for artist Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, introducing the legendary character Deadpool to the world. The book also features the first appearances of Eve, Gideon and Domino, and was the first book to divulge Cable's first name.
Written by Nicieza and featuring the pencil work and inking of Liefeld, this book is a must have for any comic collector or Marvel fan and the Holy Grail for Deadpool fans and collectors.
As always, we don't list condition opinions. We are not professional graders, and honestly, we don't have much use for them as condition is highly subjective and the grading services' opinions are about as accurate as anyone else's. The high-res photos we post will let the item speak for itself. You decide the condition. If we see any major defects, we try to list them. We consider "major" defects to be rips, tears, missing pages and the like. Not spine creases, etc. Those can clearly be seen in the photos we provide, and it is for you, not us, to determine how much they affect the presentation of the item. That is why we try to provide photos of the book both in and out of the bag.
MAJOR DEFECTS: A very light ding to the lower left cover that can be seen in the photos if you zoom in very closely. It begins on the spine just above the words CAPTAIN AMERICA in the UPC Box and carries along passing just between the 4 and the 1 and '1941', ending just underneath. Barely noticeable on first inspection. The book presents very well.
