Antique Art Pottery Oxblood Red Glaze Faience Handled Vase, Burmantofts? 19th C A beautiful antique vase with a wonderful rich red Oxblood or sang de boeuf glaze. Great shape. Victorian era art pottery. Great shape. It has an impressed mark - I think it’s probably by Burmantofts - the lettering on the mark would fit with some of their faience pieces. A lovely piece of art pottery. The Romanze series for Rosenthal was a Bjorn Wiinblad design, with production launched around 1958–1959. It is a renowned, highly decorated, and sculptural mid-century modern design. Condition - Good antique condition. With one minor glaze frit on rim, some fairly minor glaze scratches and a clay fleck accidentally left on the pot - not too noticeable as it’s low down. See photos of these faults. Please see all photos to help assess condition fully. Size - approx 17.2 cm tall, 10.5 cm across at widest, 3.6 cm wide at rim ( 6 3/4” tall, 4 1/8” across at widest, 1 3/8” wide at rim ) Weight of vase - 414 g Postage and Packing - I pack parcels very well using recycled materials wherever possible both to keep costs down and to be more sustainable.
