For your consideration, I'm offering this one of a kind hand painted plate by Royal Worcester.  This plate, square shaped, is very rare, I could only find round plates during my research.  It's from around the early 1900's and painted by Richard Sebright (1870 - 1951).  "Richard Sebright was probably the most highly regarded fruit painter of all time.  He worked for Royal Worcester for a total of fifty six years and yet, never made a decent living.  The painters worked by the piece, but Richard  Sebright was so painstaking in his work and so determined that his pieces  were the best that he could produce, that he was never able to work fast enough to earn as much as most of his coworkers did.  He was considered to be the best fruit painter by his fellow fruit painters". This plate has pears and grapes and the edges have a very intricate design in black and gold.  It measures 8" square. It's in excellent unused condition considering it's around 100 years old.  There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing.  I have another matching plate with pears and boysenberries in another listing.  Please look carefully at all pics and ask questions prior to buying.  Thank you for stopping by!
