Adafruit Circuit Playground Bluefruit with Bluetooth Low Energy

The Circuit Playground Bluefruit by Adafruit is the third board in the Circuit Playground series and is yet another improvement over the Circuit Playground Express. The heart of the Circuit Playground Bluefruit is the nRF52840 microprocessor, which is not only more powerful, but also supports Bluetooth Low Energy.

Like the other Circuit Playground Boards, this one offers an excellent introduction to programming real hardware without having to have soldering skills. The board can be programmed with both Arduino and CircuitPython.

• 10 x mini NeoPixels, each can be controlled individually
• 1 x LIS3DH 3-axis accelerometer

• 2 x buttons, left and right (A and B)
• 1 x slide switch
• 8 x input and output contact surfaces for alligator clips with I2C, UART and six ADC and PWM pins

• 2 MB SPI flash memory for storing CircuitPython code and libraries
• MicroUSB port for programming and debugging
• The USB port can be used as a serial interface, keyboard, mouse, joystick or MIDI.

The board has been delivered with an improved antenna design since November 22, 2019. In addition, the power supply to the NeoPixel, microphone, temperature and light sensor can be interrupted via a pin. Only the accelerometer remains active - ideal for low power applications!
