Magnificent Vintage Native American Quill Birch Trinket Box with Floral Rosette Design. Measures 4" in diameter.

This quill, bark and grass trinket box, in natural colors, is an exceptional work of Native American handcrafts that depicts a multicolored floral rosette on white quills with grass woven around the box. This piece is part of a estate Native American collection and was purchased in October 1994 at the Cherokee Trading Post, Calumet, OK. A highly collectible piece of Native American material culture, likely crafted by an Ojibwe (Chippewa), Odawa, or Micmac artisan, as these northern woodland tribes are historically renowned for intricate birch bark and quill embroidery.

Condition: Excellent, with some faint marks on insides and bottom that are natural inherent features of bark. Top fits snugly to base and needs to be removed carefully.
