For sale is a beautiful vintage Wittnauer Automatic featuring an uncommon black dial and powered by the legendary Longines 19AS automatic movement.

This watch comes from a long-time family collection and is one of the cleaner vintage Wittnauer examples I have come across. The black dial, applied markers, and elegant dauphine hands give it a timeless mid-century appearance that wears beautifully today.

*I'm not 100% on the hands of this watch, however from my research they are original to the watch, but they look short to me. I am detailing this because I do not want complaint about it after the fact. 

Condition:

The watch is in very nice vintage condition for its age. The dial presents well and retains an attractive appearance. Case shows normal wear from decades of use, including light scratches and signs of previous polishing. Crystal shows typical vintage wear. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.

The movement is clean and signed Longines Watch Co. The watch is currently running; however, service history is unknown. As with any vintage mechanical watch, I cannot guarantee accuracy, power reserve, or water resistance.
