This is a very clean and well maintained American Flyer 290 Pacific 4x6x2 locomotive with an American Flyer Lines  tender. The locomotive is cast iron with the reverse unit in the metal tender. The locomotive has a bright front light and has the distinct “chop-choo” sound when running. The smoke unit is in good functional shape and develops a lot of smoke.  The tender has a “Knuckle Coupler”. The lettering on the locomotive and on the tender is in very nice shape. This locomotive runs very well both frontwards and backwards. The reverse unit shifts as per specs each and every time. It has been benched and track tested (see video in pics). Both the tender and the locomotive have been recently serviced. Please review the video and pictures closely, in as this vintage locomotive is being sold in “as is” condition with no warranties or guarantees . This item may have been altered, repaired, or modified from its original factory condition over its lifetime. Parts may have been replaced, repainted, or restored.
