1943 WWII Battle of Attu Typed Captured Enemy Diary Translation Massacre Valley. Original WWII typed translation of a captured enemy diary - Gives a day-to-day description of the battle and things he saw etc from May 12, 1943- May 29, 1943. The last days entry mentions going to the Field Hospital where all of the patients (wounded soldiers) were made to commit suicide. Later that day he took care of all the remaining patients with grenades. It ends with him saying farewell to his wife and daughter, as he was going to commit suicide since the battle is lost. Some light age wear, this is original from WWII and not a later copy. Really nice piece of history showing a first-hand account of the battle from a japanese soldier who was there.
