Vintage! Village in the Hills, a History of Danville, Vermont 1786-1995 by Susannah Clifford, published for the Danville History Committee in 1995 by Phoenix Publishing. In very good condition with the only sign of wear on dust cover edges, hardbound like new with gold leaf title on spine. 
   Lots of wonderful information and photographs in the 274 page book complete with index, full contents list, family heads, those who served in the armed forces, as pastors, as attorneys and in federal and state government, as well as doctors, educaors, post masters, overseers of the poor, and cemeteries.
   All kinds of important trivia like a brief history of Danville roads, Danville century farms, little known names and places, the Ingalls and the Hoyts, the Crane Sawmill, and the history of the Ingalls and the Hoyts. There is also a list of credits for photographs and pictures as well as sponsors. 
  The author Susannah Clifford of Moretown,Vt. said "Writing the History of Danville has been at once the most difficult and frustrating , and the most rewarding history project I have ever worked on." She thanked many townspeople who contributed their help in providing information used in the book.
