Original U.S. military precision GO / NO GO limit inspection gauge marked 243037 S-2 and U.S., preserved in its original fitted wooden storage case and wrapped in cosmoline for long-term storage. The tool features a knurled handle, long precision-ground blade, and stepped measuring end marked GO .104 and NO GO .146.
While the exact application remains unidentified, it was clearly manufactured as a dedicated government inspection gauge for production, overhaul, or acceptance work. An excellent example of military surplus tooling with strong appeal for collectors of ordnance equipment, inspection gauges, machinist tools, and government-issued industrial hardware.
