I am selling a mk2 golf cl that I purchased for my son's 16th birthday. I ending up buying him a corrado vr6 project instead so this car needs to go. I have been tempted to keep it but cannot justify it due to other projects at the same time.
It was first registered in aug 1986 so will be eligible for historic classification in Aug, meaning no mot, road tax or ulez.
119k miles. The car will start and drive but the carb needs cleaning and tuning/rebuild. The rear needs new arches welding, replacement repair panels are included in the sale. A replacement bootlid is included in the sale; the driver door also needs small patches welding. The Interior and dash is in really good condition, the driver seat needs a small repair.
Please be aware that this is a project car and will need a full going over. I.e brake and fuel lines etc.
The car will have to be trailered away as is currently doesnt have mot.

The car will be sold on 14inch steel wheels with good tyres (2 budget and 2 toyo) see pics. I will accept £100 less and sell the car on the original 13 steel wheels (see pics) if that works better for you. I also have some lowering springs that I can throw in if wanted.
The car owes me 2k once I add the repair panels and getting it home so do not want offers right now. I have already reduced the price from the previous listing and do not want to lose more money.
