The neck is made of highly durable roasted maple with an S-Tech treatment.
Both components excel at quick attack and clear sound, making this an exceptional combination.
The pickups are custom-designed in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, specifically for the AZ series. These custom pickups prioritize picking responsiveness and accuracy, with a slightly reduced output to retain some of the original clean tone even when distorted.
Furthermore, it features an Alter switch that allows you to freely switch between humbucker and single-coil modes with a single flick of a mini-switch.
This enables nine different sound variations.

The fingerboard and neck are made of S-TECH treated maple wood. S-TECH treatment is a nitrogen heat treatment technology for wood developed in Miyagi Prefecture, and its use in guitar materials is a world first.
S-TECH wood has features such as shape stability, resistance to warping, water resistance, and resistance to temperature changes, and these features have earned it a patent in Japan.
After numerous prototypes and tests, the neck thickness was determined to be 20.5*22.5 (at 1F*12F) as the best. Furthermore, an oil finish is used to give it the texture of a well-played guitar neck.
* Super All Access Neck Joint
The "Super All Access" neck joint achieves high playability by carving a step 8mm from the back of the body and finishing the neck joint with a spherical surface.
The bass string side cutaway is designed to be shallower, maximizing the contact area between the body and neck, thus achieving both high playability and excellent sustain and resonance.
• An ergonomic body back contour
This is an original body shape aiming for a contemporary design.
The thin body contour and large elbow contour create a sense of unity between the player and the guitar, greatly contributing to improved playability. Furthermore, the deep waist of the body makes it easy to hold and handle on stage, resulting in high playability. The corner radius differs between the front and back of the body, creating an ergonomic design that feels comfortable the moment you pick up the guitar, whether sitting or standing.
• Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups
We obtained dozens of types of pickups and measured the frequency characteristics of all of them. From among various options, we determined the optimal pickup specifications and sound image for the AZ, and created this AZ-exclusive pickup in collaboration with Seymour Duncan, a pickup brand with a long history and a continuous commitment to innovation. This custom pickup prioritizes picking responsiveness and accuracy, with a slightly reduced output to retain some of the original clean tone even when distorted.
We focused on overall balance, from treble to bass, and the resonance of each string from 1st to 6th, while also pursuing excellent effect compatibility. All magnets are Alnico-5.
