This three-volume collection features broken-out orphan volumes from the highly prestigious Musarionausgabe (Musarion Edition) of Friedrich Nietzsche’s complete works (Gesammelte Werke), published in Munich by Musarion Verlag. Commissioned by his sister, Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche, this landmark series represents the first definitive, complete chronological printing of Nietzsche's philosophy, including his previously unpublished youth writings. This lot includes Band XIV (covering his Nachlass from the Zarathustra era, 1882–1888), Band XXIII (the General Index / Sach-Register M–Z), and the companion index volume (Sach-Register A–L).

Beautifully bound in publisher's dark half-leather with blue-striped paper-covered boards and matching corner tips, these 1920s German editions feature striking typography and a brilliant, clean gold gilt top edge (Kopfgoldschnitt).
