1972 Volkswagen Beetle 1300 RHD - Air Ride - Original Paint / Patina 1972 VW Beetle saloon finished in its original magenta red paint with genuine age-related patina throughout. UK RHD car with a great stance and lots of character. Fitted with air ride suspension which works as it should, allowing the car to sit properly aired out while remaining usable and comfortable to drive aired up. Solid car underneath with powder coated floor pan and plenty of money spent over the years. Running the original 1300 engine and gearbox which starts and runs. Does have a slight flat spot, but should be resolved with a good tune and service. A very honest Beetle that hasn't been over-restored or messed with. Paint and chrome show age as expected, adding to the overall look of the car. History: The car was purchased in 1972 by a gent who unfortunately passed in 1983, it was then garaged and remained untouched until I purchased it 2010, where it was restored and brought it back to the road as my daily driver. It was then featured as VolksWorld cover car in issue of May 2013, and shown in the main entrance to the VolksWorld show in 2014. In 2015 I decided to take the car off the road again, and performed a body-off restoration, installed air ride & powder-coated the pan. Since then it's been used as a second car on sunny weekends. Reason for sale: I've loved this bug every minute I've drove and tinkered with it, but having a young family, I struggle to find the time to drive and use the car as I would like to.
