Material unknown; believed porcelain or ceramic, but also has a silky stone alabaster feel. Vintage Chinese Art Deco style chess set beautifully glazed in lemon yellow and retro turquoise. Stylized knights. Originally came in an old vintage silk-lined presentation box marked Made in China in ink. We no longer have the box/not included. Most likely made as a tourist set. 20th C. Circa 1930s -1950s. A gem of a set in beautiful condition for age! Rare find for your collection.
