Scarce and highly collectible large original first printing concert poster advertising the First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald's two performances at De Doelen in Rotterdam and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on 18th & 19th March, 1974, presented by Norman Granz in association with Dutch promoter Paul Acket. On this European tour Fitzgerald was accompanied by a quartet that featured pianist Tommy Flanagan, guitarist Joe Pass, double bassist Keter Betts, and drummer Bobby Durham, and on some dates guest appearances by trumpeter Roy Eldridge and tenor saxophonist Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis. The album Ella in London, produced by Norman Granz and released on Pablo Records, and considered by many to be some of her best work and a perfect introduction to the mature Ella Fitzgerald, was recorded on this tour. Fitzgerald went on to record some 20 albums for the label.

The poster measures 82.9 x 115.5 cm (approx. 32.6" by 45.5" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, smooth-finish uncoated paper stock. Neatly folded twice with minimal surface handling wear. Please see all supersized images below so you will know exactly what you are bidding on.
