Antique Locke & Co Worcester, England
Acanthus Leaf Embossed VASE in Blush-Ivory glaze.
Produced c. 1898 - 1910
9.5cm high, 14.5cm diameter, approx.
Thistle bud-shaped, with exaggerated flaring rim from collar.
Nett weight 400g
Antique vase, pre-owned and appears to have been frequently used, either as a flower vase or for potpourri.
Presents very well for its age - although not entirely fault-free.
No cracks, stains or repairs, but there is considerable wear to the gilt on one side of the rim and what is surely a 'smoothed' chip to the peak of one leaf. Please see close up.
With potter's backstamp under base.
Stored protectively sealed.
