1950 Bowman #17 Sid Hudson Fair Washington Senators Pitcher. Hudson was born January 3, 1915 in Coalfield, Tennessee. He made his Major league debut on April 8, 1940 with the Senators. He was a 2X American League All Star in 1941 and '42. He spent the next 3 years in the U.S. military during WWII. He returned to the Senators in 1946 and pitched for them until mid-season of 1952 when he was traded to the Boston Red Sox. He made his final "Big League" appearance as a player on September 25, 1954 with Boston.
