1951 Bowman #205 Mickey Grasso EXCELLENT Washington Senators Catcher. Grasso was born May 10, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey. After being a prisoner of war during WWII (he escaped from a German encampment), he made his Major League debut on September 18, 1946 with the New York Giants. He was sent back to the Minors for the next 3 seasons. Drafted by the Senators in 1949, he spent the next 4 seasons with them. He was traded in 1954 to the Cleveland Indians. The Giants reacquired him for the 1955 season. He saw limited playing time and made his final "Big League" appearance on May 8, 1955 for them. This card fits into a higher grade set. The card has NO CREASES, NICE GLOSS, and a CLEAN BACK. The corners show just slight wear. NICE CARD. SEE PICTURES. The Beckett Guide lists the value between $8.00 and $20.00. Low Starting Bid. The card pictured is the card you'll receive. I do combine shipping at $1.00 per each additional card won. Shipping is maxed at $10.00.
