Description: Hardcover. Two matching volumes: Quarto, 10.8 in. x 8 in. Volume I: pp. iv, [12] 10-488. Volume II: pp. iv, [4], 502. Illustrated with over 100 full page engravings. Half calf over burgundy cloth boards with fromt and back ruled in decorative gilt. Gilt title and bandlines, and five raised bands, to spines. Light rubbing to extremities and a touch of fading to boards. Dark blue marbled endpapers. Previous owners sticker to front pastedowns, and a ; previous owner's signature, dated 1865, to front flly-leaves. Offsetting from engravings, and an occasional spot to the engravings. Very Good.
