This is a vintage Turquoise butterfly necklace by Federico Jimenez. Jimenez is a famous Southwest jewelry designer from Tututepec, Mexico and is of Ñuu Savi/Mixtec descent. necklace is made of sterling silver. The necklace is in good condition, there is a clasp at the top of the necklace that you can attach and detach the necklace. On the backside of the biggest butterfly it is stamped with JF, the artists signature and sterling. On the bodies of the butterflies there is pieces of turquoise, jet black and coral. There are no pieces of the stones missing. On some of the wing portions of the butterflies there is some nice veining from the turquoise stone. All of the following weights and measurements are approximate. The full length of the necklace is 22 1/2". Each of the smaller butterflies have a length of 2 1/4" and width of 1 9/16". The large measurement of the butterfly has a length of 2 1/8" and width of 1 3/4". The total weight of the necklace is 180 grams.
