The historical, religious and social subject matter addressed by Rev. Jennings is fascinating in its own right, but FAR MORE FASCINATING are the many instances of marginal annotation done by a close, obviously very knowledgeable and scholarly, early nineteenth-century reader -- through Chapter XI. The annotations are in Hebrew, Classical Greek, and English. Some of the marginalia is indicated with a tiny plus (+) sign, and some with a minus (-) sign; words are underlined, and one small marginal notation is a very finely drawn hand, pointing to the text of note. Disbound.
