Vintage Arthur Imhof Swiss Lucite Sphere Clock – 15 Jewel Mechanical MCM – Working

Beautiful and highly collectible Mid-Century Modern Swiss desk/paperweight clock by Arthur Imhof, featuring a sculptural clear lucite sphere with gilt brass accents and pedestal base. This elegant 1950s 1960s design embodies the Space Age / Atomic Age aesthetic and was retailed through Saks Fifth Avenue.

This example retains its original 15-jewel Swiss mechanical wind-up movement and is currently running. The transparent lucite body beautifully displays the internal movement and creates a striking floating dial effect.

Condition

Very good vintage condition overall with light age-related wear consistent with age and use. The lucite remains clear with minor surface wear typical of vintage acrylic. There is some finish wear/patina to the gilt brass band as shown in photos.
