This listing is for a very nice slice of Jurassic age very finely bedded siltstone. Laid down in a relatively calm environment, layer upon layer has built up to form this rock. Each layer shows a different depositional event - be it daily, seasonally or arrhythmically. A great example of varve deposition. Saltwick Formation of Yorkshire.
