Antique hand-crank dowel maker / peg cutting machine in very good vintage condition. Heavy cast iron construction with original wood handle and geared hand crank mechanism. This tool was used in woodworking shops to create round wooden dowels, pegs, and spindles from square stock.
The gears turn smoothly by hand and the cutter assembly appears complete as shown. A great display piece for collectors of early woodworking tools, machinist tools, or industrial antiques. Could also potentially be restored for functional use.
