Marx Lot of 12 each marching 54mm GI's, original issue flat finish.
These soldiers were first introduced in Louis Marx's 1958 Battleground Playsets and were used again in the 1963 Gallant Men playsets. Later playsets also included these figures with German and Japanese soldiers as opponents. They were used in later Marx playsets in waxy finishes.
This lot includes seven marching olive drab soldiers, one olive drab officer, 3 marching soldiers in khaki, and an officer in khaki. All of these soldiers are in the same matching shades of olive and khaki. Please note that one of the khaki marching soldiers has a shortened bayonet, this was due to a factory mold problem and not damage. It was not an unusual occurrence in Marx playsets
All of the soldiers are an excellent like new condition. Please view my other auctions for more soldiers in action poses, in the same shade of olive drab as this lot except for the seated soldiers and Captain Benedict.
Should the buyer win more than one auction, please do not pay the bill until I get back to you the next day. So, I can repack the items to save you money on freight. I will then repack I will then rebill you with the correct freight
