This has been our spare/fun car for 13 years and generally only used on fine days. Selling to upgrade to a 4-seater now that grandchildren are in the mix. Lovely honest example. We bought it with 33K (with 6 owners!) on the clock in 2013 and have driven quite sparingly to get to 58K now with some periods of SORN when we were not driving at all. Some wear to rear brake discs and some binding to handbrake but otherwise a clear MOT until 27 April 2027. Head gasket replaced and timing belt in 2014. New hood (Trophy Cars) in 2017. Very reliable and fun to drive. Two keys.
Points to be aware of:
Some isolated deterioration to paintwork as pointed out in pictures but overall paintwork is good. The worst is some flaking to one of the wheel arches but the metal underneath feels sound. Elsewhere the top layer has worn at the front of the car and there is a little bubbling around the air intakes.
Engine light is permanently on amber and has been for several years - various attempts to resolve have never lasted.
Some years ago the alarm went off unexpectedly a couple of times - we've never bothered locking it since and don't therefore use the electronic fobs.
Whilst we have had the car serviced over the years we have not been as religious about this as we could have been, relying on our mechanic to attend to the car as necessary due to the low mileage - filters were last changed in summer 2023 and probably now due an oil change. Battery is quite new.
The rear mud-flap needs refitting next time the wheel is off.
A couple of the "MG" inserts are missing from the wheels.
One of the two decorative chrome exhaust sleeves has been lost.
Tyres are fine.
Tax is £410 pa.
