Description:
Original UK 1970 first pressing of Deep Purple In Rock released on Harvest Records.
A genuine early no-EMI-logo pressing with the correct Gramophone Co. Ltd. rim text labels and original first issue packaging details throughout.
The vinyl remains visually in excellent condition overall with very glossy clean surfaces and only light signs of previous play visible.
Playback is particularly strong throughout with loud punchy clear audio characteristic of these early UK Harvest pressings.
There is just a faint low-level grainy vinyl surface rustle audible in some quieter passages, typical of many original early-1970s UK heavy rock pressings, though this does not significantly detract from the overall powerful playback presentation.
The labels remain especially clean overall despite moderate spindle wear.
The original laminated Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve also remains in excellent condition overall with particularly attractive presentation throughout.
A very strong genuine UK first pressing collector copy overall.
Carefully cleaned and fully play tested prior to listing. Vinyl also checked carefully for warping and dishing and remains particularly flat overall.
