Fabulous vintage/antique French Country ladderback chairs composed of oak frames, serpentine or ogee carved slats, and woven twisted paper rope or papercord seats. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the seats are in good condition, however they retain an all-over antique patina including a few nicks, scratches, and signs of use & wear as you would expect with a vintage piece. The front legs are straight and slightly tapered at the feet and they have wonderful straight, cylindrical horizontal double stretchers between the legs on their front, sides, and backs. And that’s not all!!! Let’s not leave out these incredible woven twisted papercord seats!!! They have an all-over antique patina which exudes a nostalgic character sure to add warmth and a sense of history to your home.
