Penn Jigmaster No. 500 Vintage Conventional Fishing Reel Made in USA

Condition:

Used vintage reel with visible cosmetic wear and signs of age/use. Reel is marked “Penn Jigmaster No. 500.”

Reel appears mechanically functional overall, though retrieve feels somewhat stiff/slightly rough or grindy during hand rotation. Handle and spool turn, and reel appears to engage/disengage properly from basic handling, but internal condition and service history are unknown.

Cosmetic condition shows scratches, finish wear, and small chips/nicks to the side plates. Very little corrosion overall, though there is some oxidation/wear around the reel foot area. Reel foot has carved markings/scratches and residual adhesive present. Additional carved/scratched markings are present on the handle arm.

Chrome shows general age/use wear but is not heavily corroded. Line is included as shown but should be considered old/untested and may need replacement.
