Description

A large and very heavy oak dining table finished in a walnut tone, with a substantial plank-style top and bold X-frame trestle base. A striking and practical piece, ideal for large family dining spaces, open-plan interiors, or farmhouse and industrial-inspired settings.

Constructed from solid oak with a thick plank top showing pronounced grain, knots, and rustic character throughout. The walnut finish gives the table a warm, rich appearance, while the angular crossed trestle legs provide a strong architectural look and traditional refectory-inspired form.

Comfortably seats 8 people, with potential to seat up to 10 depending on chair size and spacing.

We were informed that the table was originally from Barker & Stonehouse, though we have not been able to confirm the exact model or maker. It is therefore being sold as an unbranded but well-made and substantial dining table, with a solid, quality feel and attractive rustic finish.

Likely late 20th to early 21st century, produced in a rustic farmhouse style with heavy solid construction. Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.

Delivery / Assembly Note

The table will be disassembled for delivery. Please note, some of the original screws were damaged during removal, with a small number snapped within the frame. New replacement screws are included, though some basic reassembly will be required after delivery.

This is a large and very heavy table, with the top alone estimated at approximately 70-80kg, so suitable access and assistance will be required for delivery.

Condition

In used vintage condition. Showing age and use with surface scratches, scuffs, marks, and finish wear throughout. The top has visible wear, dents, darker patches, and rustic surface variation consistent with use. Some knocks and wear to the edges and corners.

The legs and underside show general wear and minor marks from use and movement. Structurally solid and sturdy overall, with good heavy construction throughout. Some of the original screws were damaged during removal, with a small number snapped within the frame.

Would benefit from a good clean and polish.
