Circuit diagrams for many variations are included. It is also possible to connect LEDs. However, these must be operated with additional protection resistors (not included). 3 additional resistors are required (not included), which are adapted to the respective configuration for operation as an alternating flasher. The components must be connected using a soldering iron. Assembly instructions: Depending on the intended use, the flasher can be operated with different lamps, LEDs and electrical voltages. The simplest wiring is operation with an incandescent lamp. In this case the flashing light can operate with voltages between 7 and 24 V and with maximum currents up to 1 A. One or more incandescent lamps can be connected in parallel. When doing so, however, the lamps must have the operating voltage, which is also used to drive the flash unit, and the total current consumption of all connected lamps must not exceed 1 A. If LEDs are to be connected, observe the maximum permissible current for the LEDs used. There are LED lamps with built-in protection resistors on the market, which must be operated at 12 V. These 12 V LED lamps can be connected directly to the flash unit just like incandescent lamps. However, the circuit must be used with 12 V (operating voltage of the lamps). If LEDs without integrated protective resistor are used, the protective resistor compatible with the LED must be connected in series with the LED. In our wiring examples, we have taken standard LEDs with 10 mA operating current as a base reference. When using more powerful LEDs, the protective resistor must be adjusted according to the maximum allowable current of the LED. Due to the change in voltage drop (flow voltage across the diode) at an LED (depending on the color), the operating voltage of the circuit must be at least 12 V (in contrast to an incandescent lamp, in this case the circuit may already be operated by 7 V.). Important: Pay attention to the correct polarity of the components during assembly. The front side of the flash is flattened. For as regards the ELCO, the negative pole is marked on the component (-). CE: If the flashing circuit is to be used in accordance with EMC regulations (CE), an ELCO 47 uF must be connected in parallel to the voltage input (see circuit diagram). ELCO's maximum permissible operating voltage must be at least equal to the actually connected operating voltage. This ELCO 47uF is not included. Intended use: Speedlight in low voltage operation 7 - 24 V DC voltage for small bulbs and/or LEDs.
