IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTING YOUR RAILINGS:
When installing railings, it is important to comply with building regulations, which vary from country to country.
Since the building owner is responsible for compliance, information about the respective state building regulations must be obtained from the responsible building authority or to get architects.
Our railing systems are only suitable for private use - residential buildings, up to two apartments.
A minimum railing height of 90 cm must be maintained.
If small children could use up the railing, avoid filling it with horizontal bars to prevent them from climbing or stepping over it.
Otherwise, the handrail must be bent inwards by at least 150mm.
Alternatively, filling with glass panes, metal sheets or vertical filler rods is possible.
When positioning, we recommend spacing the posts evenly with a post spacing of no more than 1 m to avoid any bending forces that may occur when the railing is under heavy load.
When installing in the ground, the post must be moved at least 100 mm inwards.
For mounting the posts on the cheeks, we recommend a distance from the wall of 30 to a maximum of 50 mm. For an L / U-shaped railing, the distance of the first post from the outside corner should be 150 - 250 mm.
The post should be mounted on hard ground (concrete, steel beams, wood, wall), loose ground, loose floors, e.g. screed made of wooden floorboards, are usually not enough.
An approved dowel technology should also be used for fastening, e.g. concrete anchors or threaded rods can be used in combination with composite anchor cassettes or chemical anchors.
The railing can be additionally stabilized by using a wall flange.
