High Denomination Notes; $500.00’s and above, have always been in high demand from Traditional Collectors and those who just want to say they own one. On July 14, 1969, the Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve System announced that currency notes in denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 would be discontinued immediately due to lack of use. Although they were issued until 1969, they were last printed before 1949. Technically, the last two issues of the $500.00’s; Series 1934-B & 1934-C were printed in very small numbers because of the appointment of new Treasury Officers. These last two Series were never released to the public! These notes were last Printed in 1945!
This note has good color, the centering around the margins on both sides is very good. This early note has the desirable Light Green Seal! This note has four tiny splits in the top margin, 1/32nd of an inch or smaller. They are not mentioned on the holder. This note was graded by PMG as a Very Fine 25. The PMG Holder makes the note appear more yellowed than it really is. Please take a look at the scans and judge the quality for yourself before bidding.
