Antique Octagonal Side Table Turned Legs Lower Tier Window Lamp Table Solid Wood
Description
An antique octagonal side table with a shaped top, raised on four turned legs united by stretchers and a central square undertier. The proportions and form make it well suited as a lamp table, occasional table, or display surface in a traditional interior.
Constructed from solid wood with a panelled octagonal top and moulded edge, supported on turned legs with a shaped apron and lower tier. The construction and detailing suggest a late 19th to early 20th century piece, made in a traditional style. Unsure of the exact age, but more than happy to help with any further questions.
Condition
In heavily used antique condition. The top shows many surface scratches, scuffs, marks, and areas of polish wear, with heavier wear and small losses to the edges and corners. There are visible marks and wear to the legs, stretchers, and undertier, consistent with age and use. There is some splitting and bowing to the table top as shown. Some movement to the joints. Would benefit from a good clean and polish, or ideal for restoration / up-cycle.
We have tried to capture all of these in the photos as best as possible, so please study these as a good indication of cosmetic condition.
