2004 Citroen C5 2.2 HDI Exclusive 5dr Auto Estate Diesel Hatchback
My wife’s car that she just bought a fortnight ago and decided she doesn’t like it, too big and fancy for her compared to her old Astra.
Very comfortable and well specced from new, dual zone climate control air conditioning, both front electric seats with height, angle, lumber adjustment aswell as both heated, full black leather interior in brilliant condition, front seats both with integrated adjustable armrests, 6cd multichanger under the drivers seat, I believe it has built in satnav although this would need the cd-rom, cubby galore with storage in various places in the front including a pull out drawer under passenger seat, fold down armrest in the rear with pullout cup holders and storage under liftup compartment, electric windows all around scu which operate beautifully and the aircon is ice cold
Engine is on 79500 miles but this will rise with daily use, fair bit of paperwork came with the car when we bought it, including timing belt at 49k, service in September 2025, and looks to be a brand new battery, 4 brand new tyres fitted on the 14/5/2026 in our ownership at a cost of £204, along with brand new gas struts for the boot, a new dipstick, and a pretty much brand new towbar we were going to fit for a bike rack, this will be included in the sale but is unfitted.
Very very comfortable to drive or be a passenger in, being a car ahead of its time it has the Citroen Hydractive suspension, which is self levelling and adjustable damping relying on fluid instead of your usual struts and springs for a smooth and luxury ride
The boot is huge, although it looks like a saloon it is classed as a hatchback so the boot is hinged at the top of the rear glass as opposed to below it. Full size spare wheel with brilliant tread under boot carpet, aswell as the locking wheel nut.
Electrically adjustable and folding mirrors although the drivers doesn’t fold in, remote central locking, with 2 keys.
Parking sensors and lane departure system don’t seem to work, it will remind you when you start the vehicle however does not cause any issue
Engine starts and purrs how you’d expect, no issues there and the gearbox changes great. Tax is around £35 a month
We’re getting around 35mpg around the doors, but we see around 45 on a decent motorway run
As mentioned she only bought this a couple of weeks ago as her car needs repair, and she has decided to repair it and let this luxury barge go to its next owner.
Viewing is recommended, the vehicle is sold as seen, and test drives are welcome with proof of insurance, not 3rd party as she will be transferring insurance to her old car. Located in Durham DH7, all sales are final, non payers will be reported to eBay. Cash or bank transfer payment within 48 hours of listing ending, and collection within 3 days of listing ending unless agreed otherwise. If paying cash this will be done at a bank or post office directly into my bank, can’t be too careful these days, we’ve all heard the horror stories.
Feel free to ask any questions, and we will endeavour to answer them as best we can.
Many thanks
