Vintage Corgi Toys 247 Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman diecast model car in a red finish.

History & Features

Release Window: The original toy was introduced by Corgi in November 1964 and remained in production until 1969.

Key Innovation: It was heavily marketed for its unique, "ingenious" mechanism—operating windscreen wipers.

Pushing a lever or switch on the base plate engaged a gear tied to the rear axle, causing the wipers to sweep across a textured "rain-splattered" windshield.

Other Features: It came in a deep metallic maroon finish, featured a cream-colored interior, working suspension, and rear passenger side-windows that could slide up and down.

Condition: Very good condition. Working wipers, complete box with minor edge wear, minor tiny paint chips, hood emblem is present.
