This vintage Paul Sebastian bald eagle sculpture has a dramatic, highly detailed presentation with the eagle captured mid-dive with wings fully extended and talons reaching forward. The piece features a matte/bisque finish that gives it a softer, more realistic appearance compared to glossy ceramic figurines. The sculpting of the feathers, talons, and facial expression is especially well done and gives the piece a strong display presence despite its manageable size.
The sculpture measures approximately 7.5 inches tall, 5 inches long, and 3.5 inches wide. It weighs approximately .75 lbs and feels substantial and well made in hand. The base features stylized crashing waves and rockwork that add movement and visual interest from every angle.
Condition is excellent vintage condition. I could not locate any chips, cracks, repairs, or other damage. The piece is clean and ready for display. Please note that there is visible glue where the talons meet the body; however, this is from the original manufacturing process and not from damage or repair. I wanted to mention it out of an abundance of caution.
