ACORN ANF-03 Data Cassette Recorder - Electron & BBC compatible + Games Bundle

This Acorn piece of vintage history is becoming an increasingly a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts in such good condition, considering it over 40 years old.

Very slightly yellowed with age and a couple of surface scratches both on the top & bottom but that is cosmetic and doesn’t affect the functionality whatsoever.

The Data Recorder is also compatible with the BBC M128 Computer - or indeed any computer with an appropriate cable.

100% fully working, seen here loading the games.

All that is missing from an original 1980s purchase is the outer box and inner packaging.

To ensure that you won’t be disappointed:

I have carried out the following servicing:

• Fully cleaned the Data Recorder
• The drive belt has been changed.
• Azimuth head alignment.
• Cleaned both playback and record heads together with the capstan.

Keep the heads regularly cleaned for optimum performance, over time older tapes can leave deposits on the playback heads that can reduce performance, a clean with alcohol usually restores the Data Recorder to optimum operation.Please study photos carefully as they form part of the description and where appropriate, items have been security marked and serial numbers recorded.

I should point out that the Data Recorder is fragile, therefore it’s appropriate that I choose the Ebay postage option available to me that is an appropriate amount to cover both the packaging and insurance value.

My Electron, power lean and monitor are NOT included in this auction - just used to display the Data Recorder’s functionality.

However I must also point out that whilst this Date Recorder and Games fully work now, there may be parts that could fail in the future, magnetic media can deteriorate. 

It is nearly 40 years old and this is the nature of vintage Data Recorder and Cassettes so please bear that in mind and it is for this reason that I can't offer a warranty or accept refunds.
