Original calligraphy-based artwork – Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s sci-fi masterpiece
“This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardise it…”
This piece is a tribute to Stanley Kubrick’s visionary 2001: A Space Odyssey. At its core is HAL 9000, the ship’s AI, cold, logical, unblinking. His calm voice and unblinking red eye have become one of cinema's most enduring symbols.
The artwork was built through obsessive repetition: key phrases written hundreds of times by hand, slowly layering into form. This is calligraphy as memory loop. Text as texture. Mark-making as ritual.
