Up for sale is a fantastic vintage 1978 Garfield “Big Guy” plush — a massive 28” with ears sitting classic from the early days of the lasagna-loving cat! Produced by Fine Toy Co., Ltd. in China for Paws Inc. (©1978 Paws on the tag), he measures a total of 42” from ears to toes stretched out.

He’s wearing his classic white t-shirt with the bold red slogan: “ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?” — one of Garfield’s most recognizable and hilarious catchphrases. The plush features his signature lazy expression, big orange fur, black stripes, pink nose, and those expressive eyes. 

Condition: Overall in excellent shape for a 48 year-old collectible — soft, bright fur with no major fading. Possibly some slightly darker shaded spots, but you really have to be critical like I am. Stuffing is firm with some slight slumping for his age. The t-shirt has a some fade and wear to it. There is a spot by his nose that has pulled away from his eyeball, as pictured.
