 and embossed "BREAD" on the lid. 

Marked KROMEX on the interior bottom.

This original MCM Vintage/Retro bread box is made of unpolished aluminum,

 with a style that speaks to its utilitarian function 

while reflecting the nostalgic retro charm of 1950s Americana. 

Very lightweight and compact,  

this breadbox is designed to save counter space with a low profile.

 The sliding roll-top door opens easily via the wooden black knob handle

and seamlessly tucks the lid inside the cavity.

Condition:

You will see some dark, tarnish-like discoloration on the interior.

These are smooth, not rough. 

and some darker marks on the finish in the front. 

It is fairly clean, but may need some additional cleaning in the crevices

and polishing if desired.
