Maintenance information
Magnetic tape storage devices (VHS, Beta, Hi8, Video8, MiniDV, MC etc.)
By maintenance we mean the thorough cleaning and inspection of all belt-guiding parts incl. Head drum/tape head. Particular attention is paid to the pressure roller, certain plastic parts (a common cause of failure) and of course the tracking of the recorder. If necessary, a comparison is carried out. Depending on the device model, we take other aspects into account so that we are able to offer you a long-lasting device.
Devices for optical storage media (DVD, CD, BD, LD, MiniDisc, etc.)
Removing dust, cleaning the laser unit, greasing the mechanics and even replacing the laser unit/laser mechanics are activities that can be carried out as part of maintenance. When it comes to devices for optical storage media, the laser unit is of course treated with the greatest care.

The electronics of the electrical devices are examined closely. Thanks to many years of experience, we can Fix type-specific vulnerabilities before an error occurs. The lifespan of certain devices can be increased enormously.

When assigning the optical condition, we pay very close attention to ensuring that the following criteria apply:
Very good [1]:
The devices are definitely suitable for living rooms. There may be a few minor blemishes on the front and/or the casing cover. These are barely noticeable from a maximum distance of one meter.
Good [2]:
The devices are attractive. There may be a few small blemishes on the front and/or a few small paint scratches (no longer than approx. 5cm) must be present. From approx. At a distance of 2 meters, these traces are hardly noticeable. Fine superficial signs of wear on the cover are possible.
Acceptable [3]:
There may be a few noticeable blemishes on the front and/or a few small paint scratches (no longer than approx. 5cm) must be present. Fine superficial signs of wear on the cover are possible.
