Today I am offering this fabulous vintage set of separated clusters of alabaster or marble stone fruit grapes.

These were most likely made in Italy, but they are unmarked and have no sticker labels.

I believe these are from the 1960s.

They definitely have a mid-century modern vibe.

The set includes realistic looking swirly red life-size grapes on 3 small clusters.

They measures approximately as follows:

• 2½" with 5 grapes
• 3½" with 8 grapes
• 4½" with 13 grapes

There are a total of 26 grapes on "wood-like" plastic grapevine stems.

They have a semi-glossy finish and appear to be hand-painted.

Overall they are in great vintage pre-owned condition.

They have a few dings as you'd expect to find on a 60+ year old piece.

Characteristics of Alabaster Stone Grapes

Material: Carved from natural Italian alabaster or mineral stone, giving them their characteristic hefty weight.

Coloring: The deep crimson, mottled tones were achieved using natural mineral dyes and paints applied directly over the stone to simulate realistic fruit variation.

Assembly: Each drilled stone orb is attached to a stem vine to complete the realistic look.
