Up for sale is a fantastic piece of 19th-century boxing history. This original vintage card features a crisp, sepia-toned portrait of the legendary heavyweight champion John L. Sullivan, complete with his iconic handlebar mustache and formal attire. The bottom text cleanly reads: "JOHN L. SULLIVAN. Champion of the World."

John L. Sullivan was a cultural icon and holds the historic distinction of being the last bare-knuckle heavyweight champion under London Prize Ring rules, as well as the first unified Queensberry rules heavyweight champion.

Condition Details:

Front: The portrait remains incredibly clear with great contrast. There is some light, authentic age-toning, minor spotting, and surface wear consistent with an antique paper item of this era.
